Denggao is a small town lost in China. Denggao was an ancient village that currently suffers a very common problem like similar regions of China, the transfer of young people to big cities, leaving the town in an aging and deteriorating situation. It is proposed an intervention along the time with a combinations of three types of action: Remediate (buildings), recycle (material), reuse (space). Each of the phases, develops a standalone program, but, later, will be completed by the following.

STEP 1

The first step involves the selection of a number of buildings in disrepair, but with potential for rehabilitation, for intervention on them by adding a new skin, formed by a system of bamboo scaffolding (own area). Such scaffolding houses a new program and provides the pre-existing building of the qualities lacking. In this phase hospitality programs, administration, medical unit and planted roses are activated.

 

STEP 2

The second step is the demolition of dilapidated buildings and storage of classified corresponding brash manner. a new warehouse spaces and new areas of public outdoor space generated in the village. In addition, the rehabilitation process of the previous phase is completed, adding space to restaurants and tearoom.

 

STEP 3

In the third step, you begin to reuse the stored material demolitions for their new roles, in this case, paving some of the gaps that are generated, so that the movement between the various satellite interventions people easy and smooth . In addition, by making an improvement in these areas, new uses, such as trade, containing lead new facilities are generated.

 

STEP 4

This is the stepin which we start with the main building, it will be completed as they progress other phases and needs increase. This building is done with the reuse of stored material demolitions, along with new material existing in the area. The first use which is housed in this new building, corresponds to a reception center for visitors. In this period, a treatment center and selling roses in another space previously created is built.

 

STEP 5

The final step, which would be completed with the proposal, but with an option to continue growing utilizan- do the same systems cyclically. At this stage, a theater for opera and Wu added an educational center. Both constructions made with materials of demolitions.
